Love song for ‘most dismal’ town

Cumbernauld, a large Scottish town in North Lanarkshire (about 20 minutes from Glasgow) has become somewhat infamous over the past few years.  Twice it has been named the “most dismal town” and the Town Centre was voted the most hated building in Channel 4’s Demolition programme – Janet Street Porter gave the town centre a massive slating on the show.

A former Cumbernauld resident, Carolyn McGoldrick, is releasing a charity song about the Town called Cumbernauld: A Love Song.  The song will be raising money for CLICSargent, a charity that cares for children and young people with cancer.
