Nat Fraser in fresh appeal

Over the last couple of years while I have been blogging there have been a number of criminal cases which I have continued to comment on.  The case of Nat Fraser is one of those cases.

Mr Fraser was sentenced to a minimum term of 25 years in prison in 2003 for the murder of his estranged wife, Arlene Fraser.  Arlene went missing from Elgin in April 1998 and to date her body has never been recovered.

Mr Fraser has launched a number of unsuccessful appeals against his conviction, but today it was reported on the BBC New website, that his lawyers had been granted special leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom.

I will continue to comment on this case as the details of the latest appeal are revealed.
