Those accused of the attempted terrorist attacks last summer in London and at Glasgow Airport have plead Not Guilty at the Old Bailey in London.
Their trial is expected to begin in October. As I understand it they are to be tried for both acts at the Woolwich Crown Court in London. This is not right. They should be tried in Scotland for the attack on Glasgow Airport. Their offence took place within the jurisdictional bounds of Scotland and as such it should be tried in a Scottish Court under the law of Scotland.
The High Court in Glasgow has a court room that has been done-up with bullet proof glass etc. especially for high profile trials such as trials for terrorist offences.
